Happy 85th Birthday to the Best Club in Town! President Tom opened the glorious day with a request to Fred Johnson to lead us in the Flag Salute. Fred was promptly followed by the Howard Wood Strollers, including Randy McFarland, Maryalyce Jeremiah, Bill Peloquin, Ray Ashcroft and Don Ludwig on the keyboard. The entertained us with a “Smile” and “Moon Shine.” (Or, was that “Shine on Harvest Moon” we heard?) The blessing on Rotary and this club was invoked by Ray Hansen.

New Member Induction: It was with pleasure that we were able to induct two new members to our wonderful club at our 85th Birthday Meeting! They were Patrick Hartnett who was sponsored by President Tom and Mitch Hovey, sponsored by Minard Duncan. We welcome you both and can’t wait for a chance to know you well! Fines: Nate Kvetney the “Sage of Tel Aviv” unilaterally fined all with birthdays, anniversaries and special days $85 each. Based on the honor system they were all to send their checks to cover Finemaster Nate’s assessments. As best recorded they included Dianne Masseth-Jones’ anniversary of 29 years, Dean Heiser for his wife’s birthday reminder, Vern Andrews for his 48th wedding anniversary, Rick Crane for being a year older than Vern Minard Duncan for being old enough to have a great-grandson, and finally Dan Fisk who requested that his fine be waived because his daughter got married last weekend. Raffle: The Raffle was won by Theresa Harvey who did not draw a joker, however she was consoled with $10 from Terri Grassi. Next week $130 is up for grabs! Program: First and foremost a huge thank you needs to go to Terri Grassi for directing this program on behalf of the club! A second goes to Sandy Hayes, Randy McFarland and Terri for doing such a wonderful job obtaining and displaying some of our wonderful artifacts!
