CALL TO ORDER:  Meeting was called to order at 7:35 AM by President Savage.

 

Minutes & Secretary's Report: Minutes Approved.

 

Treasurer's Report: Frank Kawase reported that the balance in savings is $3,470 and in checking $50,699. With the billing due out in January, and the impending closure of the Elks Lodge, our budget is in jeopardy. (See below in Relocation Discussion.)  It was mentioned that PP Franklin has not compensated the club for the club’s cost in sending him to the Convention in Osaka.

 

President Reports: President Savage had the following District Announcements:

1: District Foundation Dinner on February 16 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel

2: District is asking for Rotary Centennial Projects. It was suggested that we present the CSUF Library Room as our club’s Centennial Project.

3: Search is no for old club photos – of Club Activities or other Rotary happenings.

4: February 23rd is the time for DGE hosting, if anyone is interested. Please notify PDG Shapiro – plshapiro@SBCGlobal.net or 556-7163.

 

Director's Reports:

 

Club Service-Membership: 58.19% attendance in October. Chris Lowe and John Kunau are no longer members.

 

Club Service-Fellowship: David Schoen reported:

1: Poker night is set for January 7.

2: Claude Jones is set for the Christmas Party on Dec 19.

3. Sunrise Rotary Club is looking to do a social evening in January 23rd, with all 3 clubs.

4: Musical Event is set for Jan 29th.

 

Community Service-Youth: Rick Price reported:

1: RYLA event is set for January 19 at our Club – Mike Darnold

2: Youth Speech Contest is set for Feb 17.

3: Youth Singing is set for March 2

 

International Service: Bob Clark, Jr has received 1007 Paul Harris DVD’s, at a cost of $1.50 each. The marketing program will begin in January.

Orphanage Project: Septic field is 2/3 complete.

                                                                               

Vocational Service: Franki Berry – Looking for meeting pictures of Vocational events. FJC is rewarding their “unsung heroes”. This year.

The City Council will be awarding the “4 Way Test Citation” again.
